For these Arlington Heights homeowners, transforming the wife’s childhood home into a space that not only reflected their style but had greater storage capabilities while maintaining the kitchen’s footprint became a top priority. After connecting with OHi, our team dreamed up a design that felt more spacious and organized, thanks to a pass-through that looked into the living room and expanded cabinets. The final result is undeniably gorgeous.
While reconfiguring the kitchen, our designer decided to move the bay window up. This allowed for the wall of base cabinets to be expanded further into the kitchen, increasing both countertop space and cabinet storage. The change also allowed for other appliances to be relocated in a way that made cooking and working in the space more functional.
While updating the cabinets, our designer opted to include more base cabinet drawers to improve their ease of use for the homeowners. Paired with a few cabinet accessory upgrades to help maximize their storage, the new cabinets accomplished the main objective of the homeowners.
