Remodeling Process

At OHi, we’ve streamlined our kitchen remodel process for a smooth experience. From consultation to final walkthrough, we handle planning, design, permits, and materials—keeping you informed every step of the way.

In Home Consultation
OHi will come out to your home to take detailed measurements, discuss what you want done, likes, dislikes, vision for your space, pain points, etc.

Ball Park Budget & Design Retainer
Based on the measurements and discussions from your in-home consultation, we will provide an estimated budget range for your project. To move forward with the design process we require a signed design retainer and a deposit.

Showroom Presentation
We will present the initial estimate with mid-range allowances, a story board with possible selections, initial blueprints and 3D renderings where we will virtually walk through what your space could look like.

Selections Meetings
In the showroom, you and your designer will select the actual materials that will be used for your project, such as flooring, cabinets, countertops, tile, etc. You may have roughly 2-6 meetings before all selections are finalized.

Final Sign-off
Once all of the selections are finalized, the initial estimate will be updated, replacing the mid-range allowances with the actual values for your chosen selections. Sign off on the finalized contract

Permits and Pre-Construction Walk Through
After finalizing selections, we’ll submit the drawings for permit approval, which takes 4-6 weeks. Once approved, we’ll schedule a walkthrough with your designer and project manager to review details and set the start date.

Construction
Throughout the entire course of your project, your designer and PM will make regular site visits, monitor progress, and communicate what is happening next.

Project Completion
Once all construction is completed and the final inspections are passed, we will collect the final payment, and schedule our photographer to take photos of your beautiful new space!
