Sick of feeling claustrophobic, this Greek family needed a larger kitchen to meet the demands of constant cooking and entertaining. After reconfiguring the walls and appliances, our designer was able to transform this dark boxy kitchen into a bright and pristine open space.

Keeping It Tidy

A huge priority for these Palatine clients was to create a functional kitchen that is easy to clean, making quartz countertops the obvious choice. The homeowners wanted no clutter on the counters which meant creating ample storage space for any countertop appliance. Even the microwave is hidden by a custom cabinet door. Originally, the design included having a table in the kitchen, but to maximize the space and maintain the openness, our designer decided to add a peninsula conjoined with the rest of the countertops instead. This approach gave the family an eat-in kitchen without interrupting the flow, giving the house-chef plenty of space to cook.
