From Arlington Heights Tear Down to Custom Farmhouse Dream

For the kitchen, our designer wanted the space to feel as though it had evolved over time, which is why she recommended the three-toned cabinets. The color combination helped emphasize the home's modern farmhouse aesthetic. The designer also tried to configure ways to hide as many appliances as possible, leading to the choice of pullout accessories and panels on both the refrigerator and dishwasher.  

For the master bathroom, the original plan was to make it feel special and slightly seperate from the overall home design. When looking at the design, some of the elevated choises include the cabinet style differing from the rest of the house; the tile having a more sophisticated appearance; and the inclusion of a seperate walk-in shower and soaking tub. To help the space feel taller, our team added a tower to the vanity, which also offered more storage.

The biggest challenge was landing on a living room design. It was the only space that didn't have an original plan attached to it, which created an opportunity for a unique design. The homeowners fell in love with a shiplap fireplace design they found online. Our team worked to emulate the style with a gray tile in a chevron-like pattern.
