Anila brings a diverse and dynamic background to the world of design. She began her journey with a Bachelor of Arts in Design and a minor in Marketing from DePaul University. Her early career took her into sales and marketing within a lighting agency, where she discovered a deep appreciation for interior design while working alongside talented designers.

 

After taking time to focus on her family, Anila returned to her passion and made a full pivot into the design world. She earned certifications in Kitchen and Bath Design as well as CAD from Harper College, further honing her technical and creative skills.

 

Anila gained valuable experience at Chicago Design Source for interior design, gaining knowledge of fabric selections, wall coverings, furniture sourcing and how these elements contribute to creating cohesive inviting spaces. Before finding her niche in residential design she worked on the commercial side of kitchen and bath design at a cabinet manufacturing company.  Her love for residential design officially started at Kitchen Village. There, she managed projects from concept to completion, becoming an expert in creating thoughtful, functional, and beautiful spaces.

 

In 2025, Anila joined the OHi team as a Kitchen and Bath Designer. Engaging and easygoing, clients often say they feel truly understood and cared for when working with her. She’s passionate about innovation and always looks for smart, creative ways to enhance functionality while delivering a beautiful end product. She especially enjoys exploring color and experimenting with new materials to keep her designs fresh, personalized, and inspiring.

 

Outside of work, Anila can often be found adventuring with her three kids, husband and beloved German Shepard Lucy. She loves the outdoors—whether it’s camping, hiking, gardening, or biking—and enjoys live concerts and discovering new restaurants around town.
