From Spec Home To Spectacularly Unique

After deciding to stay in their current home instead of buying a new one, these Deer Park clients approached OHi to help bring their visions of grandeur to fruition. While their home was still largely functional, it was dated and didn’t capture the impeccable style of the homeowners. Therefore, the OHi team helped transform every space from the foyer to the master bathroom into elegant perfection.

Custom Made For Delight

Now that the clients had decided to make this their forever home, they wanted every detail in the home to be perfect. The kitchen overhaul had to include built-in appliances and a cabinet door to cover the fridge. The second island, which replaced the kitchen table, needed to be both the perfect space for breakfast and occasional work-from-home days.

There were a few other wishlist items, however, that aren’t don’t adhere to the “standard” remodel, and would require custom carpentry. For example, in the living room the clients didn’t want to lose their one-of-a-kind fireplace mosaic, however, they did want to brighten the space and highlight the piece of art. Our team of carpenters made a custom mantle piece to match the freshly added drywall that replaced the brick surrounding the mosaic. Upstairs, when trying to create more storage, the team made a whole wall of custom built-in cabinets to help store shoes, purses, and linens. As a cherry on top, the homeowner’s husband had seen a cool storage solution for ties, and asked our team to recreate it. They delivered. At the end of the day, these clients, with a bit of imagination and a hard working team, were able to have the personalized home of their dreams.
