These Lincolnshire clients decided it was time to settle down in the suburbs to be closer to their family. As a result, they purchased an extremely dated condo and wanted the whole space renovated before they moved from their place in the city. They reached out to the OHi team to help create a space that embraced the masculine taste of the husband, and the more glamorous taste of the wife. The final result was an elegant, bright, and clean space that will last a lifetime.

Tastefully Mixing Styles

When it came to selections, these homeowners had two main requests. The first was to incorporate blue into their general design. The reason being they collected art, and most of it had a blue undertone and this would be a great way to ensure the collection fit in with the rest of the space. That’s when our designer suggested they embrace two tone cabinets with blue lower cabinets. Not only was this unique, but it matched perfectly with the second request, which was a lighter wood floor. Inspired by a decorating show they watched one evening, these homeowners fell in love with the look of light wood.

These requests ultimately worked out extremely well. The real challenge came in designing the two bathrooms. One, needed to encapsulate the wife’s taste: sparkly and elegant. Meanwhile the other bathroom needed to meet the expectations of the husband: rugged and masculine. By selecting neutral color schemes and creating similar niches, the OHi team was able to create two completely different bathrooms that cohesively came together without disrupting the aesthetic of the entire condo.
