From Hard to Breathe to Hosting Hit

These Arlington Heights clients loved nothing more than hosting large parties… the only problem was they could barely fit all their friends into their kitchen and living room. Sometimes, if our hosts were on the living room side of the island, they would go out the back door of their house and re-enter at the front door to get to the kitchen side of the island because the space was so closed off. Enough was enough and they reached out to OHi who helped improve accessibility and flow with an adjusted peninsula and improved cabinet storage. The result was a kitchen perfect for cooking 2-3 meals a day and hosting however many parties these clients wanted to throw.

Need to Vent

One of our clients loved to cook and found herself cooking 2-3 meals daily. Unfortunately, they only had a microwave to provide ventilation for cooking. This lead to the family having to open their windows and doors all the time to allow for the smoke and grease to move. The OHi team immediately fixed this by including a ventilation hood about the stove. In the end, to add a little contrast, our clients selected a custom wood hood that has the capability to keep of with all the tasty meals being prepared.

Furthermore, in order to alleviate the need for a microwave, which would take up precious cabinet space in the galley style kitchen after being removed from above the stove, our designer recommended they invest in a combi-steam oven. Our clients fell in love with the appliance and their newfound ability to cook in the dead of winter without having to open windows.
