After spending too much time in the house with a hall bath overwhelmed by a forest green laminate countertop and a master bath with a baby pink countertop, these Arlington Heights homeowners made the decision to overhaul both spaces. With an earthy, neutral color palette, these two bathrooms turned out to be perfect hubs for relaxation and organized storage.

Some Things Never Change
While almost every inch of both bathrooms was overhauled for new tile, shower glass, and clean countertops, there was an element in each room that stayed the same: the window and door casings. Since the rest of the house had matching window and door casings, these clients had three choices. Option one was to replace every casing to keep the house cohesive, which would be quite a large investment. They could select new casings for the master and hall bathrooms, however, then they would stand out like a sore thumb. The third option, and one these clients selected, was to keep the door casings the same. With this knowledge, the OHi designer made selections the would match the earthy nature of the door casings so that it would fit seamlessly in with the design.
