KITCHEN REMODEL

Custom Colors

Everything in this remodel revolved around one thing: the LVT flooring. Before starting on this project, the homeowners fell in love with Masland's Natural Walnut LVT. As a very specific color, this dictated the other materials they selected for the space. For example, the cabinets. The homeowner didn't want bright white cabinets, but rather opted for different shades of subtle grays. To find a gray that blended well with the floor was a challenge, which lead them to choosing a custom finish for the base cabinets.  Meanwhile, the upper cabinets were a brighter shade of gray.  For a hint a contrast, a rich brown was selected for the tall cabinet. The end result is a seamless blend of colors.

How Much Will Your Kitchen Cost to Remodel?

Find Out

The Kitchen

Before: The kitchen was sequestered to a tight galley space. A small family room and dining room were in separate rooms, all feeling quite cramped. The entryway to the main gathering space was a narrow doorway. The flooring was carpet and wood.

After: The dividing walls between the kitchen and family room are removed. The opening into the family room is enlarged, both for cooking space and openness. The main footprint of the kitchen is relocated to where the hallway used to be. A peninsula eating banquet is added in the old kitchen area. LVT flooring is added throughout. Quartz countertops are added, along with new cabinets.
