KITCHEN REMODEL

Storage Wars

Beyond the obvious cosmetic changes, such as new cabinets and countertops, our clients also wanted anything that could help improve their storage and overall functionality. Our designer, therefore, added an appliance garage, which is a little hutch that rests on the countertops, but has a cabinet door that slides up or opens to reveal appliances that would otherwise be visibly strewn on the countertops. The appearance of clutter is now gone. Additionally, they added more drawer storage, which helped improve their access inside some cabinets

Apart from the kitchen, these clients also decided to redo their laundry room. The space is directly next to the kitchen, and isn’t even separated by a door. Our updated the cabinets as well laid the same flooring from the kitchen in the laundry room to help the space remain cohesive.

We are thrilled with our new kitchen by OHi. They came highly recommended by my daughter after they did their master bedroom suite. John, Teri, Ben, and Brian were extremely helpful and professional. Teri's suggestions on improving the footprint of the new cabinets, plus adding helpful features greatly enhanced my new kitchen. Ben, our project manager, was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and available. Brian and the others who worked on our kitchen were reliable and friendly. I had trust in this company, and I couldn't be happier with my fabulous new kitchen. It sparkles from floor to ceiling....and it is all new!

How Much Will Your Kitchen Cost to Remodel?

Find Out

The Kitchen

Before:vThe kitchen featured dark, heavy, and worn oak cabinets paired with a rather unpleasant yellow countertop. The walls were covered in floral wallpaper, and the sole source for lighting was the fluorescent light panels suspended from the ceiling. The floor was covered in 12”x 12” tiles.

After: The kitchen is completely transformed to include high quality white cabinets with sleek, contemporary hardware. The walls are painted a neutral color, paired with white soffits. For a splash of color, and a bit of contrast, the wall of the sink is covered in a light blue subway tile. The countertops are replaced with quartz. Luxury vinyl tile is installed to add more depth and a seamless look to the kitchen and laundry room.

The Kitchen Table

Before: Due to a large kitchen table, and hanging lamp being located directly at the mouth of the kitchen, the whole space felt cramped and claustrophobic. Next to it was a cabinet, interrupted by a part of the wall that jutted out.

After: We removed the table and replaced it with an eating nook, complete with two comfy chairs. The countertop now extends the whole length of the wall, giving the room the illusion of being longer. The inconvenient wall is removed, allowing for not only more cabinet storage, but also a more cohesive atmosphere.
