With hopes of selling their home in Buffalo Grove, this family knew their home needed some new life. After not being remodeled for twenty years, fresh materials and brighter colors helped the master and hall bathrooms feel alive again, making this home perfect for a new family to grow in.
While the master bathroom revolved around a vanity update, the true overhaul took place in the hall bathroom. Originally, the space had been deemed the "kid's bathroom" for this Buffalo Grove family. This label was reflected in the material choices which hadn't been updated for 20 years, until OHi entered the seen. With hopes of selling, our team helped find more mature selections that would cater to various tastes, helping the space feel elegant and elevated instead of juvenile.
Before: The floor was an electric blue mosaic, paired with a sandy color vanity. The vanity lacked hardware. The sink faucets were chunky and dated. There was a dead space at the end of the vanity not being used for anything.
After: An elegant LVT is installed on the floor, giving the room a brighter tone. A white vanity is installed and extended the length of the room, replacing the dead space. This creates more storage and countertop space. Sleek, single handle faucets replace the old ones.
Before: A grainy wood vanity wood, with two medicine cabinets above the Jack and Jill sinks, also framed by the grainy wood. This made the room feel dark and heavy
After: A new, semi-custom vanity stands in place of the old vanity. The dark gray cabinets create a sense of elegance while the white countertop brighten the entire room. New flooring is installed to match the flooring in the hall bathroom.
