From '60s Decor to Transitional Floor Plan

These Arlington Heights travelers wanted to update and open their floor plan to have a cozy space to come home to after their trips. The original space had linoleum floors, limited counter space, and minimal storage. They love to cook with their daughter, so our team installed two L peninsulas, providing each family member with a workstation on pizza night. Our designer rearranged the kitchen layout to optimize functionality, opened the kitchen into the dining room, and flanked the fridge with pantries. Our team replaced the old tile on the fireplace's hearth with a porcelain slab that echoes the kitchen countertops. We turned this cramped and closed '60s kitchen into a transitional masterpiece that is bright, airy, and functional.
