Heart of the Home

For this family, the idea that “the kitchen is the heart of the home” isn’t just a saying; it’s how they live. With busy schedules, a school-aged child, and a love of cooking, they needed a kitchen that could do it all: keep them connected, support everyday routines, and make life just a little easier.

At the center of it all is a custom-designed island that balances function and comfort. A stepped-down section creates stool-free seating, perfect for homework, casual conversations, or anyone who prefers a more accessible place to sit, while still leaving plenty of room for meal prep. Above, a statement light fixture adds personality, offering a subtle, playful nod to the family’s love of Star Wars.

Storage was equally intentional. Ample pantry space keeps everything organized and within reach, while a dedicated spot for their KitchenAid mixer ensures it’s always ready without cluttering the counters. And perhaps the most personal detail of all? A spice drawer designed with their son in mind. He specifically wanted easy access to his popcorn seasonings, and this solution delivers,  keeping everything visible, organized, and perfectly within reach.
