OHi’s beginnings date back to 1900 when John’s great-grandfather founded the business. His grandfather and great-grandfather laid carpeting at the Chicago World’s Fair, and his dad installed carpeting at Chicago landmarks, such as the Drake Hotel. In the 1960s, John’s dad opened a retail store, Carpets by Ray & Sons.

Today, OHi remains Chicago’s go-to complete home remodeling company because of John’s focus on clients from the beginning of a project to the end. John’s decades of experience and proactive communication help relieve any anxiety clients have about a project.
