After touching up every other part of their home, big life moments pushed their final project, the kitchen, to the back burner. After years of planning for a kitchen remodel, these Arlington Heights clients finally moved forward with their project. Beyond the kitchen, they painted their fireplace and trim, added a bar, and updated the flooring. Everyone agrees, this remodel was worth the wait, after becoming the couple's dream space.
After dreaming of this kitchen for so long, these clients built up quite the wish list, including improved storage, extended countertops on the peninsula, and organization accessories. Their wish was our command, and our designer crafted a design to include each item. From the lazy Susan in the blind corner, to relocating the microwave to the lower cabinets in order to create space for a hood, every detail came together seamlessly.
Before: Original, builder grade cabinets were installed, overwhelming the space with a painstakingly orange hue. The refrigerator took up precious countertop and storage space. There was no hood or ventilation due to the over the range microwave.
After: The refrigerator is relocated to the wall parallel to the sink, allowing for more cabinets and countertops space. The old laminate is replaced with quartz countertops. The range is relocated and paired with a sleek, stainless steel hood. The microwave is installed in the lower cabinets.
