BATHROOM REMODEL

Change It Up

Imagine the original space: A vanity with a single sink and a giant whirlpool tub, completely exposed to the master bedroom. The only door separated the toilet and original shower from the rest of the suite. There were no linen closets and an obtrusive picture window was stationed over the tub, further reducing their privacy. When they approached OHi with the request to remove the tub, it helped our designer free up some space to add a few more necessities. First, she enclosed the whole bathroom suite. She replaced the bathtub's original location with a new walk-in shower, while also removing the picture window in favor of a clerestory window. This improved their privacy while still allowing natural light to flood the space. The old vanity was replaced by a double sink vanity to allow for each resident to have their own station. The old shower space was replaced by a wall of storage, including a hamper pull-out accessory. The new linen storage and toilet area are separated from the rest of the bathroom suite by a pocket door
