KITCHEN REMODEL

The Walls Came Tumbling Down

The original kitchen was enclosed by a half wall with posts on either side. It allowed for the homeowners to see and talk with anyone in the hall and living area but ultimately separated the cook. Having the wall between the kitchen and living area also broke the flow of parties and made the kitchen congested. Our designer removed the wall and widened the space by eliminating the hallway. This created space for the island and made a natural flow through the kitchen.

The client’s one dream is to have a stand-up kitchen mixer and a place to store it. The designer made her baking dreams come true and created a customized storage pull-out, the perfect size for a stand-up mixer, which was also functional for storing other appliances.

How Much Will Your Kitchen Cost to Remodel?

Find Out

The Kitchen

Before: The kitchen was blocked off by a half wall with two posts and a hallway. The countertops were black granite and the floors were ceramic tile with dark grout.

After: The wall blocking the kitchen is removed opening the space into the living area. There is now a  large island with four short barstools with leather seats.  The countertops have been replaced with a white quartz. The kitchen now has plenty of prepping and entertainment space. The floors are now a dark brown luxury vinyl that goes throughout the whole condo.
