KITCHEN REMODEL

Bay Window Gets a New Look

While reconfiguring the kitchen, our designer decided to move the bay window up. This allowed for the wall of base cabinets to be expanded further into the kitchen, increasing both countertop space and cabinet storage. The change also allowed for other appliances to be relocated in a way that made cooking and working in the space more functional.

While updating the cabinets, our designer opted to include more base cabinet drawers to improve their ease of use for the homeowners. Paired with a few cabinet accessory upgrades to help maximize their storage, the new cabinets accomplished the main objective of the homeowners.

How Much Will Your Kitchen Cost to Remodel?

The Kitchen Corner

Before: The kitchen countertops stopped before the bay window. They were topped with Corian countertops and drab white cabinets. The pencil mosaic made the space feel dark when paired with the gray countertops. There were limited base cabinet drawers. The cabinets were stopped short by soffits.

After: The New kitchen cabinets extend to the ceiling after removing the soffits. The countertop and wall of cabinets are extended throughout the length of the room after the bay window is pushed up. The countertops are replaced with veined white quartz.
