Of all the materials homeowners have used to construct their houses over the years, only one has stood the test of time; wood. While it’s true that steel and cement have become staples of modern construction, nobody can debate the fact that even today, most homes are still built with the use of strong wooden beams. In many cases these beams are covered up in favor of exhibiting other materials like metals. However, we’ve reached a point in our home-improvement evolution process at which wood has become something of a novelty, even in modern style homes.
