Styles and Materials
We sell and install six kitchen countertops in natural stones and wood, and six in durable, easy-clean manufactured surfaces to fit your style and budget.
Polished Granite: One of the most popular and durable choices, its colors vary naturally, but an annual sealing is recommended for longevity.
Quartz: Very popular, non-porous quartz is stain-, acid-, scratch-, heat-, and impact-resistant.
Marble: The delicate finish means no harsh cleaners should be used, but its veined surface disguises wear and light stains well.
Soapstone: Non-porous, bacteria- and stain-resistant, veined soapstone’s many hues deepen over time with regular mineral oil treatment.
Travertine: A high-end choice, travertine’s pitted surface and light to neutral hues result in a soft, matte warmth.
Wood: Traditional, cozy, heat-resistant wood is ideal for food prep when properly sealed.
Stainless Steel: It wins first prize for hygiene, it's industrial-chic, and works with any style.
Tile: The colors, sizes, and finishes are nearly limitless, and it's very low-maintenance and easy to clean.
Porcelain: 30 percent stronger yet much lighter than granite, porcelain comes in almost any slab size and finish.
Glass: Costly, stunning, versatile, and highly hygienic, tempered glass is heat- and stain-resistant.
Corian: Non-porous, omni-resistant Corian has travertine’s softness; fully-customizable designs can even seamlessly integrate sinks.
Laminates: Stylish for retro or budget renovations, today’s laminates beautifully mimic stone, wood, and more but aren’t heat-resistant.
Choosing Kitchen Countertops
Looks are important when it comes to choosing kitchen countertops, but the key to making the right countertop choice is selecting material that works for the work you do. Equally important is the level of maintenance necessary to keep the new counters looking top. For example, in kitchens that see lots of prep, or lots of little hands, a non-porous, easy-clean countertop may serve better, while for others kitchen style and setting may be the ultimate factors of countertop choice.
